Daniel Linley Jones, 39, died unexpectedly early in the morning on Friday, July 22, 2022.
Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Faith Alive Church (formerly Abundant Harvest), 4830 Shawnee Drive, Kansas City, Kansas 66106. Visitation will be at 5:00 until service time. We have noticed the church has no sign up as they have new owners. It sits directly next to the funeral home. A GoFundMe has been set up to help with funeral expenses and donations may also be given to the family or at the funeral home.
Daniel was such a kind and generous person. He would help anyone who needed it no matter what was needed or what time of day it was. If you needed help, he was there. Daniel was never greedy – he was willing to help no matter what was needed. He was a very adventurous person who loved to travel and see new things. And Daniel always loved trying new foods – some of his favorite places to go were new restaurants.
Daniel absolutely loved being a dad to his children: Dallas, Kingston, Lynli, Zoya, Danielle, & Daniel. He also adopted his nieces: Mackenzie, Marissa, Miya, & Clowie. He took them in and raised them as his own. Loving them all with his whole heart. On July 14, 2015, Daniel married his wife, Sandra and they had several happy years together.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Sandra; children: Dallas, Kingston, Lynli, Zoya, Danielle, Daniel, Mackenzie, Marissa, Miya, & Clowie; mother, Brenda; sister, Tiona; & brothers: Shaun, Jason, & Gatlin; as well as many more family members and friends.

The world may never notice if a flower doesn't bloom,
Or even pause to wonder if the petals fall too soon.
But every life that ever forms, or ever comes to be,
Touches the world in some small way for all eternity.
The little one we longed for was swiftly here and gone.
But the love that was then planted is a light that still shine on.
And though our arms are empty, our hearts know what to do.
For every beating of our hearts says that we love.
Our Angel forever.

On July 14, 2022, Olive Lavon Lindsey began her journey to heaven. She spent 88 years blessing our lives with her presence. She was born to Earl and Margerite Smith. She had 3 brothers, Earl Monroe Smith (Joanne) deceased, George Riley Smith (Deceased), Phillip K Smith (Donna) West Chicago, Ill.
She married Robert Gene Lindsey in 1953 and they were married for 68 years when he passed. They had 2 sons, Eric Gene Lindsey (deceased), Robert Gene Lindsey, Jr. (Olathe, Ks), and a daughter, Pamela Sue O’Dell (Dave) SpringHill, Ks. Olive devoted her entire life to her husband and family. She was our Sunday school teacher, den mother for scouts, gardener, seamstress, 4-H leader, cook at our school (best cook ever). She taught us how to be strong, honest, loving, hardworking people. Her optimism was contagious. She has 9 Grandchildren, Jackie (Ryan), Jason, Anson (Heather), Kristin (Bray), Dustin (Cinda), Anne, Joshua (Lisa), Jamie (Josh), and Joseph (Jordan). She has 17 Great Grandchildren and lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends that love her dearly and will miss her so.
In retirement, they lived for 25 years at Lake of the Ozarks, where they enjoyed many friends, family, and lots of boating. They traveled to Texas for winters and had a lot of wonderful adventures. They moved back to Olathe and then Spring Hill to live the last years of their lives surrounded by family.
We all enjoyed our time with her and all of the valuable lessons she taught us. We are blessed to have had them both in our lives!
These Hands
I’m proud of them- these hands of mine.
So many things they’ve done.
They’ve planted flowers and pulled weeds,
And worked out in the sun.
They’ve kneaded bread and cooked the meals
More times than I can say.
They’ve washed a ton of clothes, I guess,
And put them all away.
They’ve soothed a small child’s
Fevered brow, and rubbed an aching head,
And when the evening shadows fell,
They put the brood to bed.
They’ve borne the bite of winter’s cold.
And felt the warmth of spring.
And on one finger long ago
Was put a wedding ring.
And when my journey here is o’er,
I still shall thankful be.
That these old worn out hands of mine
Have done so much for me.
There will be a celebration of life of Olive Lindsey

A Face Among The Stars
By Rebecca Ginns
I looked for you this morning,
I looked for you last night,
I looked for you everywhere,
But you were not in sight.
I looked up to the night sky above,
And saw your face in the stars.
It was then that I realized,
You’re not here anymore
But you’ll always be with me…
You will always be in my heart.
Life is something all of us must borrow
Returning it in time, to whence it came.
Good-bye doesn’t mean you’re gone,
So long as I still love you,
Your memory will live on.

She was born in 1936, to Samuel and Inez Espinoza Delgado. She married Anthony “Tony” Talavera Jr. on October 27th, 1956, and they were married for 65 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Nini and Tony were known as Mr. & Mrs. T.
Our parents enjoyed going to the casinos and were known to take the bus with the senior groups on various casino trips. She would spend time at the bowling alley watching our dad bowl (and spending time at the concession stand.) They would travel to bowling tournaments and softball tournaments out of town. They
would travel with many of their children to many places – Branson, Colorado, California, Texas, Florida, Mexico… They loved to dance. You would always find them on the dance floor. You would never see Nini without Tony. They did everything together. She loved listening to Mexican music, especially mariachi music. She was the #1 cheerleader at all of her family’s sports activities, dance
recitals and programs. You could find her watching the Chiefs and Royals anytime they were on TV. Nini’s spunky personality was something that attracted people to her and something she’ll always be remembered for.
Angelina was preceded in death by both her parents, three brothers Frank, Paul and Sam, and her husband, Tony. She is survived by her sister Maria Cruz Rico, her children Liz Hernandez (Frank), Samuel Talavera, Tony Talavera, Patty Alvarado
(Charlie), Manuel Talavera (Teresa), Mary Reyes (Robert), Vicky Sanchez (Ralph), Paul Talavera (Judy), Paula Wilson (Marc), Teresa Talavera (Ronnie Bolanos), Daniel Talavera (Sandra), 25 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy was all of her family & friends!

Virgie was born in 1938, in Kansas City, KS, to Roque and Claudia Witron. She was the youngest of seven children. She attended Argentine High School and went on to earn an associate degree from Penn Valley Community College. She was married to Raul Bueno for 54 years, with whom she had two sons, Gino
and Jesse. They settled in the West Side Neighborhood of Kansas City, MO, a community she immersed herself in and was supportive of. Virgie was always drawn to work that served others. She worked as a paralegal and a legal assistant with the City of KCMO and Legal Aid. She also worked as a Teacher’s Aide
with KCMO Public Schools, managed Posada Del Sol Senior Apartments, and worked with Guadalupe Centers.
At just under five foot tall, Virgie was a small but mighty woman and would not hesitate to stand up for herself or others. A strong, independent woman, Virgie loved to stay busy and on the go. So much so, that her family recently installed an app on her phone to keep track of her. She loved to socialize with her friends and could regularly be found at Guadalupe Center or Don Bosco Center. Her friends say she
was always the life of the party. She liked to make people laugh, but she especially liked to shock them with her words or actions and leave them speechless. When she was up to one of her silly pranks, she had a crafty little smile that would give her away. Virgie also loved the holidays and would have her home decorated for each holiday that came along. Halloween was one of her favorites and she is known
for always having a great costume, great decorations, and great parties for the occasion.
Nothing was more important to Virgie than her family. While raising her boys, she taught them the value
and importance of faith, family, education, and patriotism. These were lessons well learned and she
took every opportunity to brag about the accomplishments and character of her boys and all of those
she loved. She maintained close and meaningful relationships with her extended family and her
husband’s family. She was most definitely a beloved sister, mom, grandma, aunt, cousin, and friend. A
nurse who visited her home, saw her surrounded by family, and saw all the family photos displayed,
summed Virgie up best, “She sowed her seeds well.”
Virgie is survived by her sister, Rachel and her brother, Antonio; her sons Gino (Tamera) and Jesse
(Maria); seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
